HP Deskjet 1280 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to set up a HP Deskjet 1280 A3 printer I have been given on my win 10  PC, but although it now appears in the Printers and Devices page, when I try to print a Test Page , the printer quickly sends a sheet of paper through with the message 'GET /DevMgmt/ProductStatusDyn.xml HTTP1.1 HOST:localhost' printed on top of the page. It also sends a couple of other blank sheets through afterwards, can anyone tell me whether this printer will work with my PC or is it faulty. I have tried all the suggestions on the HP site, and also looked on Google for this message but cannot find any information about it.

Install manually drivers for HP Deskjet 9300 model and try to use them.

I searched for the Deskjet 9300 drivers and managed to find something on the P settings as 9800 drivers, I could not find 9300 drivers. I loaded this, which seemed to make a small difference in that I was not getting the printed out GET message, just a blank sheet being outputted by the printer. I know the printer can print OK as by pressing the On button and the Resume button 4 times it prints out a good Test page, I just cannot see how to do so from my PC.
