Hello, I did not find the category to put my question about the new printer envy photo 7830 I just bought.
When I opened the box, there was a sticker promotion stuck on the right side of the printer. (promotion to buy ink at a lower price). I removed it. Unfortunately, the sticker quality was so bad that it left glue on the printer. I used alcohol to try to remove the glue but it doesn't work. The sticker moreover was very big. So now I have a new printer that looks "dirty" full of glue marks and I would like that HP stops putting low quality stickers on their machines to promote ink promotions. If anybody has an idea on how I can remove those glue marks without hurting the plastic under, I would greatly appreciate.
thanks everyone 🙂

Hi @Margot003,
I'd like to help!
To remove the sticker residue on the printer, moisten a paper towel or cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Hold the cloth over the remaining label residue and press down for about 30 seconds to one minute to allow the alcohol to soften the residue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Dear Jay,
thank you for your reply. I have unfortunately tried a few times with rubbing alcohol letting the glue soften etc but it does not work at all. They had placed a 70 pourcent add for ink right on the plastic of the top cover. The glue remains sticky and whitish. I tried also with soap and water and a few times with rubbing alcohol. I called hp service but they didn't help me (not possible to talk to them and there is no option for this kind of problem). I know it is a small detail but it is quite upsetting because it is a new printer and everyone who sees it asks what the problem is on the cover. If you have any other idea that could help, I would appreciate. Thank you.

Hello Jay, i just tried it with a lot of hope but it doesn’t work. The stickinest and the glue is there after the very warm vinegar. It’s the first time I see a sticker doing so much resisting. I don’t know if you can at least ask them (in hp Belgium) not to use those stickers “for 70 pourcent discount on ink with a monthly payment” anymore on the machines and use a better quality sticker that when you take it off doesn’t leave marks.
i think I’m going to take the machine back to the store and ask for a refund as nothings helps to take that glue out.
thanks for all your help.
