I wanted to check to ascertain whether I had the latest software and firmware for my HP Office Jet Pro 8720 printer because of a problem I was having printing on quality photo paper. I downloaded the latest version of HP Easy Start. The HP Easy Start recognizes my HP 8720 printer and goes to the point when it says "Preparing for device setup" and the program never advances past this point. The HP Easy Start program show the screen "Preparing for device setup" screen and the circle "spins", but the program doesn't go beyond this point. This is after downloading the program anew and rebooting both my computer and printer. I cannot check my computer software or firmware using the HP Easy Start Program. Is there another trick that one needs to be aware of here to get the program to talk with my printer? Why can't I verify the current driver software and firmware for my HP Office Jet Pro 8720 with HP Easy Start
Help would be appreciated, thanks for hep in finding an answer and helping me move on.
