HP Smart Tank 7605 All-in-One
Other

I have just purchased a new HP Smart Tank 7605 All-in-One Printer and set it up according to the HP Smart app instructions, with a WiFi connection to my Macbook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.0. Firstly, I couldn't get colour printing to work at all (everything came out as greyscale despite correct printer settings. I checked that hardware was OK through test page printing and copying coloured documents, and also through a wifi connected PC that printed in colour. Now the printer seems to be permanently in Pause mode despite resetting Printing and turning off printer and Macbook several times. This is becoming VERY frustrating!

Just letting everyone know that this has now been solved by way of a long phone call to HP Support. Involved several steps including factory resets on the printer, deleting all drivers, etc etc. - but finally solved the problem and I now have colour printing and scanning on my new 7605 and the printer does not revert to "Pause" condition whenever a print command comes through.

The support guy was very helpful (although I was a bit concerned about ceding control of my computer and phone camera!) - but perhaps HP could work to make the installation a bit easier for people with Macs!
