HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I wondered if someone could help.

I've encountered an issue with our printer and would like to remove the HP dynamic security. After doing some research it looks like it's going to need a firmware downgrade. The device was manufactured in late 2022, so it will have it pre-loaded into the factory firmware in its brain.

Can someone help me backdate the firmware to remove the HP dynamic security, please?

No cables are supplied with it, so to add to the complication it would need to be done wirelessly. It can upgrade it self automatically but seems to make it hard to be done manually.

Anything would be a great help.

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to use refilled cartridges.

HP printers are designed to work with original HP ink and toner cartridges. As is standard in the printing business, HP printers use a process to authenticate cartridges. In certain HP printers, this authentication process includes dynamic security measures. Dynamic security relies on the printer’s ability to communicate with the security chips or electronic circuitry on the cartridges. HP uses dynamic security measures to protect the quality of our customer experience, maintain the integrity of our printing systems, and protect our intellectual property.
