I need to reset the EWS password on my DeskJet 3635 printer. When I set the password and confirmed it I wrote it down. However, when I tried to use the password it was incorrect.

Hi @jcwee,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble with the EWS (Embedded Web Server) password on your DeskJet 3635 printer, you can try the following steps to reset it.
Access the EWS page:
- Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the same network as your computer.
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- Enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address on a self-test page or by navigating through the printer menu.
- Press Enter to access the printer's EWS.
Login to the EWS:
- On the EWS login page, try using the default credentials. In many cases, the default username is "admin" and the default password is "admin" or is blank. If you haven't changed these, try these default values.
Reset the password:
- Once logged in, navigate to the security or settings section, where you can change the password.
- Look for an option to reset the password or change it.
Perform a factory reset:
- If the above steps don't work, you may need to perform a factory reset on your printer. Keep in mind that this will restore the printer to its default settings, and you'll need to set it up again.
- To perform a factory reset, refer to your printer's user manual for specific instructions. It usually involves holding down a combination of buttons on the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
