Don't now why this is so hard to find. No need to do a reset to factory defaults which apparently might not work anyway.

Security for Embedded Web Server has "security reset".

Just have to navigate the menu on the machine control panel.

CONFIGURE

> I/O

> EMBEDDED JETDIRECT MENU

> SECURITY

> RESET SECURITY

OK

Answer is in the post. Dumb that we are only allowed to post questions.

By the way, the default is no security. When security is set, the default 'Admin' user only has a user set password. 'Admin' appears to be case insensitive, so no point bothering to try different password guesses with different cap on 'admin'.

Don't go looking in the RESETS menu, it's not there.

Tried to find this information in a manual. Theoretically it should be in the "HP Embedded Web Server User Guide".

I can only find Edition 2, 2004 and Edition 3, 2019, and neither of those mention it. No mention in the firmware update readme either.
