HP Laserjet Pro MFP M428fdw scanner not working after I was away from home for 1 week. No power outages, no changes and was working properly before leaving. Naturally, I tried troubleshooting, but it didn't repair/fix the issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and it gets to the end and says that it was unable to establish wireless connection. It gives option to retry or cancel or continue for other options. I have performed all of the usual... unplug for 30 seconds, reboot, check for updates, reboot, etc, etc.
I am at a loss and don't know how to proceed. Warranty is no longer active (of course). And unfortunately, my scanner is an integral part of my work.
If anyone can help, I would be grateful!
I use Windows 11 and again the printer is HP Laserjet Pro MFP M428fdw. If you need more information, I am happy to give it.
Thank you!!

I see that you are facing scanner related issue with your Printer.
Please follow the below steps in the same sequence to further troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue,
1) Shut down the printer, devices to which your printer is connected and the router.
2) Turn on the router first and wait for all the lights to be stable or solid.
3) Turn on the printer and all the other devices from which you would like to print or scan to.
4) If the issue still persists, update the printer firmware by clicking on this link and let me know if that resolves the issue.
