Hi @Tscar23,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the Error code E0.

Error code "E0" on HP printers typically indicates an issue with the printer's ink cartridge or printhead. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue while setting up your new printer:

1. Check Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are correctly installed. Open the cartridge access door and check if the cartridges are seated properly.
  • Remove the cartridges and reinsert them, ensuring they click into place.
  • Make sure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges, as third-party cartridges can sometimes cause errors.

2. Check for Protective Tapes

  • Make sure you have removed all protective tapes or covers from the ink cartridges before inserting them into the printer.

3. Close the Cartridge Door Properly

  • Ensure the cartridge door is fully closed. Sometimes, the door might not be properly aligned or fully closed, leading to an error.

4. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try to continue with the setup process.

5. Check for Obstructions

  • Open the cartridge access door and check for any obstructions or packing materials that might still be inside the printer.
  • Remove any visible obstructions and close the door properly.

Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Please find the next steps below.

6. Update Printer Firmware

  • If possible, update the printer's firmware to the latest version. This can sometimes resolve setup issues and errors.
  • Visit the HP Support website to download the latest firmware for your printer model.

7. Reset the Printer

  • Perform a factory reset on your printer:
    • Turn on the printer.
    • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
    • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the power source and the printer.
    • Turn on the printer.

8. Consult the Printer Manual

  • Refer to the printer’s user manual for specific instructions related to the error code "E0". There may be additional steps or troubleshooting tips specific to your printer model.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "E0" error code and complete the setup process for your new printer. If the problem persists,
