HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2376 All-in-One Printer

Hi there, I need some help. I have deskjet 2376 that was purchased new by my wife for her father and has been sat for a year or so. I cannot find / don’t have the cartridges that came with the printer but have bought original 667 cartridges.

I am getting the cartridge blinking on the printer and a message use setup cartridges.

Can anyone please help me with this as I cannot find a way of getting past this error message and therefore finalise the setup and use the printer

Thanks

And to confirm I have genuine HP 667 cartridges. I have read in some of the other forum posts about OOBE resets but nothing I can see for this model 2376 printer. I would be really grateful for some support on this if anyone can assist.

Thanks

           Hello PBJohns200,

To override HP ink cartridge error, remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge 2-3 times until it firmly seats in the slot. Then turn off the printer and remove all cartridges. Gently, with a dry lint-free cloth, wipe the contacts on the cartridge and carriage to remove any dirt or residue.

Thanks for the reply, I have followed the instructions provided multiple times but unfortunately still get the same error.

Is there any other way of dealing with this. I have read in other threads, OOBE reset but not sure this is an option with this printer ? If so, does anybody have instructions on how to do this?

Grateful for any additional support on this issue.

thanks
