Hi @Ali_Raza4543,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP DeskJet Plus 4130 printer cannot print because the setup ink cartridges are damaged, and the printer requires them to complete initial setup, even though you have purchased new cartridges. Let’s go through the steps to resolve this issue.
a. Verify New Cartridges
Ensure the new cartridges are genuine HP cartridges and match your printer model (HP 4130 setup or replacement cartridges).
Remove the new cartridges from packaging and remove protective tape carefully.
b. Insert Cartridges Properly
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Insert the new cartridges into the correct color-coded slots.
Press down until they click into place.
c. Restart Printer Setup
Close the access door.
Power off the printer, wait 10 seconds, and power it back on.
The printer should attempt to recognize the cartridges.
d. Use HP Smart App for Setup
Download the HP Smart app on a smartphone or computer.
Add your printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
The app can sometimes bypass the setup cartridge step if you have replacement cartridges installed correctly.
e. Reset the Printer (if still blocked)
With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the wall.
Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn on the printer.
Try inserting the new cartridges again.
I hope this helps.
