To access your private messages, simply click the private message icon in the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile and send a private message to me with the serial number, because we value your privacy.

Hi @VikramTheGreat,
I do not have the private message icon next to my profile page, only a bell icon for notifications (see snapshot).
When I tried to follow the link you provided, i get the following error: "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action. Click your browser's Back button to continue."
I then tried the suggestion posted in this HP Support thread about going to profile settings -> Preferences ->Private messenger:
But that button does not even exist on my profile:
The accepted solution in that thread indicated that "new forum members probably have limited options," which may explain the issue. Is there an alternative way to submit my serial number online? I'm really hoping to avoid phone support, as my last attempt in February involved over an hour on the phone and didn't resolve my problem.
I purchased this printer in January and still haven't been able to use it once—I'm getting quite desperate for a solution. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
