I have a Color Laserjet Pro MFP M283fdw. I need to make sure it does not automatically calibrate at night, because this has been waking people up.
In the Color Calibration settings, I have an option to set the Calibration timing at 12, 24, 48, 96 or 168 hours. What I am wondering is whether there is a way to set when this period starts counting from? If I run a manual calibration, will this reset the clock for the automatic calibration timer?
If there is no way to ensure calibration does not occur at night, I will need to power the printer down every night and turn it back on every morning. Could that be bad for the printer in any way?

It is preferred not to shut down the printer every night as every time you do a full power on there is a certain amount of surge induced to the power supply which can cause it to fail as it gets older. As for the calibration issue, I am not sure and it is not something I have seen documented. Your best bet would be to test it yourself to see.
