So when I try to install the printer's software in my computer it says that the printer was unable to be installed over the network.

I can access it from the web page and I've tried a couple of HP "problem solving" softwares but nothing changed.

Can anyone help me??

I will try and help.Did you give printer and print permissions on the network.Under control panel,network and sharing make sure that you allowed file and Printer sharing.Hope this will help.

I am A certified Copier Technician.

I have the same issue Unable to install over the network.  Checked Permissions and sharing are set to on. Any suggestions?  I can see the printer in the app tells me the IP address but in Printers it says Driver unavailable.

That did not workfor me - all that is set correct (as you stated to do).  I have a HP OfficeJet 5745.  I had the HP assistant on my last computer, which crashed, and it worked great. I now have a new computer and window 10.  I downloaded the 'new' assistant and it just states that the device was unable to be installed over the network.  I can print from computer to the printer, but this assistant appears not to be able to install... something.  What could be causing this?  Thanks for any help you can provide.
