The printer driver is not automatically installed. In Windows 10, only the HP LJ M125126 Scan device appears in Device Manager. In the procedure for installing the driver from the official package LJPro_MFP_M125-126_full_solution_15311, an error occurs in the installer at the stage of connecting to the device. At the same time, when trying to scan from a third-party program, such as IrfanView, no problems arise. HP Print and Scan Doctor generally freezes at the stage of connecting to the device.

I did everything according to your instructions. After launching LJPro_MFP_M125-126_full_solution_15311, the printer connection procedure does not occur. A message is displayed that the device is detected and the connection is up to 1...99%, after which a connection error occurs. Without closing the installer, I go through the control panel --- devices and printers ---- add a printer, I select the HP LaserNet Pro M125-M126 PCLmS driver. It is installing and the connection procedure in the program LJPro_MFP_M125-126_full_solution_15311 takes place. But at the stage of setting up the device, it still gives a connection error. The driver located in LJPro_MFP_M125-126_full_solution_15311 does not work in windows 10.

Hi @eliazek ,
Please clock the tight arrow and locate the Service Menu, the press OK.
Navigate the menu and look for HP Smart Install, can you find such and option in this menu?
If so, please disable this option and confirm the change, then restart the printer and try reinstalling the HP Software again.
Please let me know if that may help,
Shlomi
