There is no option for print to envelopes. Word will not print nor can I get a pdf onto an envelope

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

I can't print envelopes with this printer. I keep getting paper size mis-match. It isn't even an option on the Printer setup menu. I did a custom size through Word, but it still will not recognize the envelope. This printer used to work properly.

Load paper > Page 15

Pay attention to flap / rotation.

Tell the printer about the paper and adjust the Preferences for everyday printing.

Use a recent version of Word to create your envelope.

Word > Mailings > Envelopes

Pay attention to flap / rotation.

If you are not using Mailings > Envelopes,

Word can be used to create / print a manual envelope setup.

What else?

If you are wanting to print envelopes from a PDF file (exported from Word, for example),

You might be able to do this - you will need to be able to select the paper / envelope size from within Properties.

Envelope with a watermark background will likely have to be printed as an Image (Advanced)

Adobe Reader DC – Install Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

NOTE:  Adobe Reader DC software can be installed even if you do not normally open / view / print PDF files directly from the Adobe Reader DC software.

What if?

If the printer software no longer shows / displays the full paper type and size list, you might have to uninstall / install the printer software.

Your printer software:

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers 

• Download and Save the printer installation package for the “Full driver”

Notes:

• Full Feature Software might have been moved to subcategory Software-Utility
• The “full driver” installation package might be named  Print and Scan Driver and Accessories

Next

• Navigate to the folder in which you saved the software installation package (likely Downloads)
• Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
• Reminder:  If using Easy Start, select the Full Driver
• After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in
