I have been trying to get this to work for some time. Had it shared off my Windows computer and that worked sometimes...but now I need to run it either connected via USB or via wireless (preferred).
Downloaded the file from your website and got the error in the title. So I went to another thread and downloaded the recommended file which launches HP Easy Start. however, despite the printer being on and the wireless light showing (blue, on), I get "No Devices have been found".
HP Easy Admin doesn't work....cannot find ANY printer driver of ANY version despite listing multiple starting at 10.7 (attached)
Honestly, this is the most ridiculous process - the files on HP's own site, for your own printer don't work, aren't valid or cannot find the printer.
When the printer is installed via USB, and I try to print, I get a message in the print status "Filter" failed. But no further information.
Seriously...what is going on with this printer, and the resources HP provides for this printer? Nothing works...and it doesn't take much of a search online to discover many other clients with the same problem!!!!
One other thing - this is supposed to be AirPrint compatible/enabled re:this resource. Yet, when I go to set it up, Air Print is not an option
Finally just tried USB installation again, and tried wireless setup...despite it being shown as being connected to the correct wifi, I get "Device Note Reachable"
So it's been weeks of this effort...and still no success. Do I just junk this printer???

AND ALSO - why doesn't this ridiculous printer stay on?? I turn it on and after only a few minutes of being idle it turns off...during setup very frustrating because I have to keep turning it back on so the wireless is active on this printer.

One suggestion for the wireless that may or may not apply. If you have a newer 5Ghz router, you need to program the 2.4 Ghz channel with a different SSID and only allow the printer to connect to the 2.4Ghz network. There are documented issues with many printer vendors and the wireless chips used not working well with newer 5Ghz standards.
