Hi Community,
I'm trying to use the best scanner HP ever made ScanJet 4670 with Windows 10 (64-bit). This question has been asked many times on this forum but none of the answers appear to have come from HP themselves. I am scanning original pen and ink drawings which will be damaged in a scanner with a lid and hinges that bend the edges of the art. It's for an important client for whom i have scanned art in the past with this flat/see-through scanner with great results. Now i'm stuck with an HP OfficeJet 5740 that creases the edges of the art. It's hard to believe my new fancy, powerful HP ENVY laptop, that I love, can't be made to do what i need. It would be very sad if HP has made this scanner obsolete without considering a newer model. Can I please get a direct answer to this question from HP support? Thank you for any help.

Hi,
The scanner is not supported on Windows 10 a clearly listed below:

Please let me know if I may incorrectly understand your intention, there are many newer Scanjet professional scanners available, you cannot compare the quality of a professional Scanjet scanner with a home Officejet all in one scanner.

Sorry, I'm less experienced with Scanjet scanners.
You may call a sales specialist for commercial products like scanners using 866-625-0242To speak with a sales specialist, option 2 then option 1.

ShlomiL, thank you for trying to answer my original post. It wasn't really a question - more a lament that HP has chosen not to spend 10 minutes writing code to support the Scanjet4670 in Windows.
I have failed to to make my scanner operate in compatibility mode and as a result i have lost my client and a large amount of income i was counting on after losing my day job due to a Covid closure.
So, it's a moot point now. My next scanner will not be HP.
