To turn off the backlight on your HP Smart Tank 7600r printer, follow these steps using the printer's touchscreen control panel:

Steps to Turn Off the Backlight:

  1. On the printer's touchscreen, tap the gear icon ⚙️ to open the Settings menu.
  2. Navigate to Preferences or Display Settings (the exact name may vary slightly).
  3. Look for an option like Backlight Timeout, Display Brightness, or Sleep Mode.
  4. Select the Backlight or Brightness option.
  5. Choose Off, or set a short timeout (e.g., 15 seconds or 30 seconds) to automatically turn off the backlight after inactivity.
  6. Confirm and exit the menu.
