To be honest, at this point, I have had enough.  The lack of support.  The canned responses to issues.  Clearly HP wants me to purchase a new printer as opposed to fixing an issue with my current equipment.  I do DFIR/CYber Security for a living, so knowing where to look on a system for issues is something I'm used to.

To Google the specific issues leads me to HP sites with links that don't work.  These are recent posts as well.  While the OS finds the printer, HP software, did/does not see it.  This is now on two separate laptops with windows 11 and 10.  

HP software is garbage.  HP support is garbage.  This is now for two printers.  So whoever the admins are, please close this thread and mark it unresoved.

For the record, I did come up with the solution that fixed all of the issues. 

 

  1. I threw all HP printers into a dumpster.
  2. I purchase a printer that actually works from a competitor.

 

Problem solved.

 

I will never purchase another HP product again.  Personally and professionally.

Sad that in your quest to find a solution this is the thread you found.  Good luck.  HP's software is useless.  The "Troubleshooting app" is useless.  How can it troubleshoot something the system sees and yet NONE of HP's software sees anything.  Defeats the purpose of the troubleshooting software.

I even have Microsoft on the phone for an hour as they remoted into my system and they were unable to figure out why HP software does not recognize their own printers.

HP needs to overhaul the support structure, support options and support personnel.  Because whatever this is, is absolutely useless..
