I am asking for support on how to continue. My f4580 was functioning perfectly with my old computer, trouble started when I changed the old one to Lenovo T460s and tried to install the software.
Operating system: Win7(64)
Downloading the SW - no problem, straight and friendly guidance.
Then I was trying to use several options to install the drivers, yet all the options I have with the online HP installation software end up when checking for minimum requirements - I get two errors:
USB support does not exist on this computer
USB hardware does not exist on this computer
Three USB 3.0 ports are available on my laptop. Frome some other answers I suspect the catch may be in absence of USB 2.0. Is this the case? What may be the workaround?
I would appreciate any help - quite some hours I already spent on the issue, reading forums, trying options - now I think this is my last chance to resolve the issue somehow.

I was going through your post and would like to help you.
You need assistance in installing the printer with the PC. Is that, Correct?
Since you don’t have the USB2/0 ports, the printer is not compatible with the USB 3.0.
So, the workaround which you are looking for is installing it over the network (Wired or Wireless).
Use the link below to follow the setup of the printer over the network as per your preferences.
Hope the above steps will help you finds the solution. Please share more to serve you.

Thanks for the quick answer. Wireless connection had been another option I was trying to excercise - but SW installation brougt me to the same USB error - that was where I was stuck.
Nevertheless I did research the HPsupport forum a bit more and found a solution to my case here:
Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Can-t-install-drivers-USB-message-error
After the instructed modification in Temp folder everything was on autopilot.
Thanks again for this answer ... and for the answer in the above referred post.
