HP LaserJet MP 1132 MFP MP
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan
Hi to all people,

I'm trying to re- install a USB printer HP LaserJet  MP 1132 MFP MP  on iMac, but

when I insert the USB cable is displayed this message:

"The inserted disc is not readable by this computer. Ignore- Eject", I can continue

only after clicking on "Ignore."

 The printer is supported:   hxxxs://support.apple.com/it-it/HT201465

installed is  OS X 10.11 El Capitan, today I updated printer drivers

"Update 5" of 'from August to November 2016"  (not exactly remember the month);

I tried to add the printer manually, change ports and USB cable

but without result  (though the printer works on another PC with a different S / O).

What can I do ?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

Try these simple steps below:

* Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.

* Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.

* Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.

* Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.

* Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.

* Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list

* Click the “Add button” (+).

* Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.

* Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Hello dear "Sizzlingsum_13"

i have tried the auto-installation with Apple before post, but nothing (is a link suggest).

iMac dont have a drive-cd and the error message from the  O/S seem a auto-start cd... i am not skilled on Apple O/S but is strange (?)

Sincerely

Hi@atatat,

Thanks for the response.

Since you have reset the printing system, now try to find the driver for the printer through the Apple Software Updater.
