@Robj1111, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're seeing a blank screen when opening the HP Smart app on Windows 11, even after reinstalling it. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this issue.

Ensure Windows and HP Smart App Are Up to Date

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.
  • Open the Microsoft Store, search for HP Smart, and check for updates.

Reset the HP Smart App

Sometimes app data gets corrupted. Here's how to reset it:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  2. Find HP Smart, click the three dots ⋮, then select Advanced options.
  3. Scroll down and click Reset.

Clear HP Smart App Cache (Optional but Helpful)

If the reset doesn’t help:

  • Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%\Packages, and press Enter.
  • Look for a folder starting with AD2F1837.HPPrinterControl_...
  • Delete this folder (this clears the app cache).

Reinstall HP Smart Using Microsoft Store

  • Uninstall HP Smart from Settings > Apps.
  • Reboot your PC.
  • Reinstall from the official Microsoft Store: HP Smart

Check for Background Services

Ensure the HP Smart Background Service is running:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Go to the Services tab and look for HP Smart or similar.
  • If it's stopped, right-click and choose Start.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
