Welcome to the HP support community.

Where are you getting this error?

Which application are you using to set up the printer?

Good morning Sandy.

After rebooting the printer about a dozen times and uninstalling and reinstalling the iPhone application three times to no avail, last week I managed to finally complete the setup without doing anything different from before.

So the problem is now solved but I cannot identify what I did to solve the problem.
