Printer is online. All test from Computer says there are no problems.

When I print the display on printer say the setup has not been finished.

I have tried installing the printer again, but same result. Also same result when printing from iphone. And also same message if I print a test from printers own menu.

Hi @JKaxe

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I need some information to assist you better,

Printer Information

  • Exact printer model name and number
  • Is the printer connected via Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet?
  • Was this printer previously in use, or is it newly installed?
  • Do you have an HP account linked to the printer (e.g. via HP Smart)?

Setup Status

  • Does the printer’s display show any QR code, PIN request, or mention of HP+ activation?
  • When you say “setup not finished,” does the display specify which step is incomplete?
  • Is the printer enrolled in a service like HP+ or Instant Ink?

Computer and Network Details

  • Windows 11 version (e.g. 22H2)
  • Is your computer on the same network as the printer?
  • Is HP Smart installed, and does it show the printer as ready/active, or does it mention setup pending?

The more details you provide, the better we'll understand the problem and the faster we can resolve it!

Once I have these, I can guide you precisely. You’ve already done a lot to rule out common issues, so let’s drill into the source. Just share what you know—I’ll take it from there.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
