Hi @RobynF1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
On an HP printer's Wi-Fi setup screen, the dash (-) symbol may not be immediately visible on the first keyboard layout. Here’s how you can find it:

1. Look for a "123" or "Symbols" Button

>On most HP printers, the on-screen keyboard has a button labeled 123, Sym, or @# to switch between letters, numbers, and symbols.

>Tap this button to cycle through different character sets until you find the dash (-).

2. Check Alternate Key Options

>Some HP printer keyboards allow you to long-press certain keys to reveal additional characters, including the dash.

3. If Using the HP Smart App

>If you’re entering the password via your phone or computer using the HP Smart app, the standard keyboard of your device should have the dash (-) available in the symbols section.

If your printer model has a limited touchscreen or only physical buttons, let me know the exact model, and I can provide specific steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
