I have what seems to be the hopeless situation in which I cannot reinstall the driver for this printer. I have downloaded it several times but each time it extracts but goes no further. Somewhere I have read that when it extracts, it stores the file on the computer but I cannot find it.  If I connect the printer to the computer using the USB cable, it shows in my cd device and when I try to open it I get a message that the administrator has blocked it and talk to the administrator!!!

 

I asked the same question of the community before and had a reply but the item suggesting help for the non opening, I cannot find! I cannot find a phone number to call, nor to ch with a real person. The automaytic chat sends me in any directio9n but the direction I want to go!!

 

Can anyone help, please?

I did not understand this reply!

One thing I did, since i felt you were impying that I had already had the solution, was to paste the address for the help into my browser to see what happened. The file was downloaded but it too will not install!!

I can install other programs on the computer so it has to be an HP problem I think!

I also watched the video from Microsoft on how to install a driver, I have not gone through those procedures in sequence but I have tried them all!
