Hi @FMadden

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The Windows Update error 0x800f020b for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e usually occurs when Windows tries to install a USB driver update that conflicts with existing drivers. Here’s how to fix it:

Remove the Problematic Driver

  • Press Win + R, type printui /s /t2, and hit Enter.
  • Locate any HP USB drivers, select them, and click RemoveRemove Driver and Package.
  • Restart your PC and check Windows Update again.

Manually Install the Correct HP USB Driver

  • Visit HP’s official support page and download the latest USB driver for your printer.
  • Install it manually and restart your PC.

Hide the Faulty Update

  • Download the Show or Hide Updates Troubleshooter from Microsoft.
  • Run the tool and select Hide updates, then choose the HP USB update.

Clear Windows Update Cache

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator (Win + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter).
  • Run these commands one by one
    net stop wuauserv
    net stop bits
    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
    net start wuauserv
    net start bits
  • Restart your PC and check Windows Update again.
