Scanned pages show dimensions are in "inches" instead of "cm"
Moreover, setting a scanning by auto-color, first page is grey and manual change must be made for having it coloured like oriiginal one.
Saving such pdf file, first page is grey and second coloured.
After manual change first page shown coloured.
Saving such pdf file, both pages are coloured like original ones.

@davide72, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I see that you have issues with scanning, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any scanning issues.
For more information, go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try scanning.
You can also try alternate methods to scan. Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Windows) for help.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Dear TEJ1602 ,
thank you for your feedback, but unfortunately it doesn't solve my issue.
- I run Scan Doctor; no problems detected.
- I'm alredy running the latest FW and SW version presently available
- Anyway, I uninstalled driver according to your instructions and re-installed it.
Problem is still present, in facts any A4 scanned page is shown by SW with measure of unit in inches (8.27 x 11.69) insted of cm (21.0 x 29.7). It is just a "cosmetic" problem. Dimensions of the pages should be as per measure of unit used by settled Country (Italy uses cm).
Concerning auto-color setting, it runs good increasing color sensitivity to 60 (50 is the SW default).
Best regards

Thanks for replying!
I am afraid it can not be changed with the HP Scan software.
The HP Scan software shows the preview scan dialog dimensions in US measure and it cannot be set to be shown as Metric, regardless of your operating system configuration such as regional settings or the HP Scan settings.
Even by setting a custom scan size in CM, the preview size is listed as inches and managed in inches.
You may either convert the measures manually or look for a 3rd party scan applications which offer different functionality.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Dear TEJ1602,
thank for your prompt feedback, but unfortunately it sounds strange for being a solution...
HP is a worldwide supplier/manufcturer that is so big and important that should "adapt" regionally its products for any simple marketing reason! This is a way for respecting different cultures. Moreover, from the marketing point of view, it's never good telling to a customer of using a different software, simply because you are selling both HW and SW and customer is buying, and so paying, for hw AND SOFTWARE in the same package.
In such a case the matter is more complicated. US is actually just a region, a small island for units of measure...
HP, and you, should know that the Intenational System of Units is the most important and USED IN THE WORLD
collection of unit of measurement in which meter is the unit for lenght. So, according to the worldwide widest coverage rule/reason, HP should create any product (HW&SW) according to Intenational System of Units at first. Any further regional adaptation is welcome, like imperial units for anglophone people/regions.
So, I should have expected an answer from HP like: "We are working since ever in order to improve our products. Next SW release will fix such issue for any Country not using imperial units"
Best regards
