HP DeskJet 4120e All-in-One Printer

I am setting up my printer for the first time, doing it through the HP Smart app on laptop. I've been stuck on the joining the network section for a good 20 minutes now despite the screen saying it'll only take a few minutes.

I understand that you are facing print setup issues. I’d like to help!

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

 

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only. 

 

Reset the printer

  • Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  • If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.
  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  • NOTE:
  • HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.
