Yes, you can use your HP OfficeJet 4500 printer with Windows 11. Here are the steps to add and set up your printer on your new Windows 11 computer:

1. Connect the Printer to Your Computer

Ensure your printer is turned on.

  • Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
  1. Connect Printer to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can do this through the printer's control panel by navigating to the wireless settings and following the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

2. Install HP Drivers and Software

  • Open a web browser and go to the HP Support website.
  • Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 4500) in the search bar and press Enter.
  • From the search results, select your specific printer model.
  • Choose the appropriate drivers and software for Windows 11.
  • Download the full feature driver or the basic driver, depending on your preference.
  • Once the download is complete, open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers and software.

3. Add the Printer in Windows 11

  • Click on the Start menu and select Settings (the gear icon).
  • In the Settings window, click on Bluetooth & devices.
  • Click on Printers & scanners.
  • Click on Add device.
  • Windows will search for available printers. Select your HP OfficeJet 4500 from the list.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

4. Verify Printer Functionality

  • Once the printer is added, you can print a test page to ensure it is working correctly.
  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet 4500 and click on Printer properties.
  • Click on Print Test Page.
