Hi,
we are using an HP printer. its within the home network and is working with every device except the Dell XPS with windows 10.
I installed the drivers different times and on different ways - drivers unknown is always the result.
due to the fact, that the printer is working very well, it will be the connection to windows 10.
Update windows10 done
update HP printer done
deleting old versions done - current version is HP 44.7.2712.2022
would be happy if somebody has a good idea 🙂
best

If you are connecting to a network, the easiest solution is to manually install the printer. First note the IP address of the printer.
Then: on your PC go to control panel>devices and printers and click Add a printer at the top of the page. The searching window will open, immediately click at the bottom where it says "the printer I want is not listed". Select the last option on the next page "add a local printer or network printer with manual settings" Next window click "create a new port" and from the drop down menu select "standard TCP/IP" Use the printer IP address and click the "query printer" and then click next. If it does not automatically find the driver, click on Windows Update button and after the search is done, locate your printer from the list provided by windows. As an option you could download the HP UPD print driver and when prompted for a driver click have disk and point to the folder where you downloaded the UPD driver.
