Hi @LaTon,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer driver check issue preventing printing from your computer. Let’s go through a few checks.

Restart Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Turn the printer back on.
  • Wait until the printer shows Ready.
  • Try printing again.

Check Printer Status

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer.
  • Select See what’s printing.
  • Make sure Use Printer Offline is not selected.
  • Clear any stuck print jobs.

Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer and choose Remove device.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Select Add device to reinstall the printer.
  • Install the recommended driver if prompted.

Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Printer troubleshooter.
  • Apply any suggested fixes.
  • Restart the computer.

Verify Driver in Device Manager

  • Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
  • Expand Print queues.
  • Right-click your printer.
  • Select Update driver.
  • Restart the computer.
