I'm trying to use my new print cartridges and HP is blocking them so I need to revert to an older firmware so I can use them.

The linked articles you sent me were for InkJets.  I have a LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw.  I was unable to fix my issue following the instructions for the inkjets.

update the printer firmware by clicking on this link.

If you already have the latest firmware on your printer, then you might see any options for firmware updates.
