Hi @BB9827,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with printer issues, especially when you have an urgent project. Here’s a step-by-step guide to change your HP DeskJet 3722 printer back to color printing:
Check the Printer Settings on Your Computer:
- For Windows:
- Open the Control Panel and select Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet 3722 and choose Printing Preferences.
- In the Printing Preferences window, look for an option that says “Color” or “Print in Grayscale”. Make sure “Print in Grayscale” is not selected and choose the color option.
- For macOS:
- Open System Preferences and select Printers & Scanners.
- Choose your printer from the list and click Options & Supplies, then click on Driver or Options.
- Make sure the option to print in grayscale is not selected and choose the color option.
Check the Printer’s On-Device Settings (If Applicable):
- Some printers allow you to change settings directly from the printer's own menu. Navigate through the printer menu to check if there's an option that might have been accidentally set to print in grayscale.
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the color ink cartridges are not empty. Sometimes, printers might switch to grayscale if they detect that color cartridges are low or depleted.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall and then reinstall your printer drivers. This can help reset any errors or issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website for your DeskJet 3722.
Reset Printer:
- If none of the above steps work, try fully resetting the printer. You can usually find this option in the printer's menu under settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
