Hi @zimmmm,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To access the scanner on your HP printer, the steps depend on your device (Windows, macOS, or mobile). Here's how to do it on each:

On Windows (Using HP Smart or Windows Scan)

Option 1: HP Smart App

  1. Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Open the app and add your printer if it’s not already listed.
  3. Click on “Scan”.
  4. Choose your scan settings (source, resolution, file type).
  5. Click “Scan” and then Save or Share the file.

Option 2: Windows Scan App

  1. Open the Start Menu and search for “Windows Scan”.
  2. Select your HP printer from the list.
  3. Choose your scan settings and click “Scan”.

On macOS (Sequoia 15.4.1)

  1. Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Select your HP printer from the list.
  3. Click “Scan” > “Open Scanner”.
  4. Choose your scan settings and click “Scan”.
  5. The scanned file will appear in the Preview window, where you can save it.

On Mobile (iOS or Android)

  1. Install the HP Smart app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and add your printer.
  3. Tap the “Printer Scan” tile.
  4. Adjust settings and tap “Scan”.
  5. Save or share the scanned document.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
