I have had this printer for two years.  I was told that HP printers do not print a single envelope so I never went any further.  Now I figure it has to have the ability to do this so today is the day I catch the train.  The instructions never say ENVELOPE only ENVELOPES and I have to start with Word Pad.

I have never used Word Pad and don't understand it at all.

Please is there a kind soul that can teach me like I'm in preschool (kindegarten is still beyond me) at 75!

@Kuranda1

We are all learners here and this forum uses "title" for learners using educational system to rank us. Please ignore this.

Now back to your question: you can print ONE envelope on all standard printers but you need a software which has template or templates to create envelope(s) otherwise this may take days to print them at the right locations.

Instructlion may say load envelopes (plural) but you can use same instruction to load a single envelope. We normally to use Microsoft Word but there are few products around, please try

I am not sure this is going to HP Expert who sent me a reply.  I don't know how to reach you so hopefully this is the right way.  Thanks for your response but I don't want to be directed to a third party.  I want the help from HP Support for an HP printer.  I think the question is clear and simple.  I just need walking through it, not running through it.

Hello Kuranda,

Yes, Banhein is indeed an expert.  Note he's provided 66 thousand posts.

I am not an HP employee; just a volunteer searching for helpful answers for queries on the forum.  Good luck.

@Kuranda1

As I said this morning, you need a third party template to be able to print envelope. Your printer does not have template(s) to tell it to print at the right location.

I also said: we normally use Microsoft Word to create envelope and print. Doew you machine have MS Word ? If no, the above software may help.

You may want to try another way: trial on errors.

(a) Using Wordpad to type - Sender information then Recipient address

(b) Print it.

The first one may not line up proper, repeat (a), give mor/less space then print again. then repeat again... When you are happy with the result, keep it as template and next time simply type new receipient.

Regards.
