Hi @Pam2221

If your HP LaserJet Pro 4001-dn printer is displaying a blinking power light and attention triangle, it likely indicates an inactive or setup mode issue. Here’s a guide to interpret and address the lights on your printer:

Interpreting Control Panel Lights

The state of the Ready light and Attention light signals the printer's current status:

  • Initializing/Setup Mode:
    • Ready Light (Power): Blinking
    • Attention Light (Triangle): Blinking

Possible Solutions

  1. Ensure Complete Physical Setup: Make sure the printer is properly set up, including connecting all necessary cables.

  2. Utilize HP Easy Start for Setup:

    • Download HP Easy Start:
      • Open a web browser on your computer.
      • Visit HP Smart Setup Page.
      • Click "Begin Setup" and then "Install HP Easy Start."
      • Follow the prompts to complete the setup.
  3. Check Network Connections: Ensure your computer and printer are on the same network if setting up via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  4. Power Cycle the Printer: Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on to reset.

I hope this helps!
