HP Officejet 4620 e-All-in-One Printer

My Officejet 4620 e-All-in-One printer from 2013, which was previously working fine on older hardware (not this computer) is  now unable to be set up trough HP smart (I tried wirelessly and with the usb port provided on the back, it always gives me a different error) though the printer can copy perfectly, i've tried everything from installing new firmware, to using hp doctor, with it taking no actual effect.

What exact error or one or two errors example are given? please provide some details regarding the actual error to better understand what can be offered to troubleshoot the problem.

 

Additionally, is the error given on the PC screen, the actual printer? etc.

The error was showing up on the HP smart app on my computer, but I don't need any further assistance, the fix to the problem I've been struggling for weeks, maybe months... Was: "I was using the wrong USB cable" 🤣 If someone has the same problem (I saw many people on hp forum do) try to tell them to change the USB . 

(Wireless is still not working, I might add a reply later, I am now using the dedicated 4620 app instead of hp smart)

(The errors were: Select a different printer, "turn your printer on to be able to print but or was already on" and "can't complete setup, try again later or contact support"
