hpmsn101.dll has stopped working s an HP printer status notification message. I kept getting this error over and over. All you have to do is disable printer notifications. The problem is that different printers have different ways to disable printer status notifications.
First go to devices and choose your printer and then find its property. There can be several ways to get to properties and not all the properties have the ability to disable the notifications. I found the best one to use is device settings.
you will see tabs general, sharing, ports advanced,. color management, security, device settings, about.
under device settings you will see "form to tray alignment" , "font substitution table" and :"installable options"
Under "installable options" you will see something like duplex unit, allow manual duplexing, job separator, and printer status notification; DISABLED.
Why do some HP printers have printer status notification; ENABLED but do not produce this annoying error message, but other HP printers must have this disabled to stop this notification?
Thanks
