HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a new HP Pavilion laptop and an old Envy 4520 printer.  I have downloaded the HP Smart app.  I have pinned it to my task bar.  I would rather have a short cut on my desktop. To create a short cut, Windows 11 asks me to "Type the location of the item." Alternatively, I can browse my hard drive and find the item.  So far I have been unable to find HP Smart on my hard drive, nor have I been able to figure out exactly what the path is in order to type that path into the appropriate Windows 11 field.  How can I find out what the path is to HP Smart on my hard drive?

The application can be added to the Desktop -- whether it sticks is dependent on how Windows treats any updates to the application.

Start (Menu) > All Apps > Scroll down - Find, Press and Hold the app you want to place on the Desktop

Drag the app to the Desktop and Release

General Example

Printer_Assistant_Scan_Assistant_Shortcut_Icons_on_Desktop_5Printer_Assistant_Scan_Assistant_Shortcut_Icons_on_Desktop_5
