The error code 0x80070709 typically indicates an issue with the printer settings or configuration on your computer. Here are several steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
Check Printer Connections:
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer and turned on.
- If using a USB connection, try a different USB port or cable.
- If using a network connection, ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your computer and the printer to refresh their connections and settings.
Run Printer Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Printer and click Run the troubleshooter. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type devmgmt.msc, and press Enter to open Device Manager.
- Find your printer under Printers or Print queues.
- Right-click your printer and select Uninstall device.
- Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install them and then reconnect your printer.
Check Printer Services:
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
- Right-click Print Spooler and select Restart.
- Ensure that the startup type is set to Automatic.
