My envy 6055e was working just fine yesterday, Now, it won’t connect to my wifi and won’t print anything. When I try to reconnect it to the HP smart app, it is unable to detect. I did not change wifi routers, I already tried holding the wifi button and power button simultaneously, holding the wifi button for 3 seconds, etc. I pay for InstantInk, but can’t even use it? Please help!

Hi @envybaby24,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It’s frustrating when your printer suddenly stops connecting to Wi-Fi. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot your HP Envy 6055e:
Restart Everything:
- Printer: Turn it off, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Router: Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
- Computer or Mobile Device: Restart the device you’re using to connect to the printer.
Check Wi-Fi Signal:
- Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check if other devices are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network without issues.
Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi:
- On your printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wireless settings or Network Setup.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
Update HP Smart App:
- Ensure that the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version.
- If it’s already updated, try reinstalling the app: uninstall it, then download and install it again from your app store.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Network Settings.
- Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network using the Wireless Setup Wizard.
Check HP Smart App Connection:
- Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- In the HP Smart app, select Add Printer and see if it detects your printer.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Sometimes a firmware update can resolve connectivity issues.
- Go to the HP Support website and look for firmware updates for your printer model.
Network Configuration:
- Verify that your router is not blocking new devices from connecting.
- Ensure that your network is not set to hide its SSID (network name).
Factory Reset:
- If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This will erase all settings, so you’ll need to set up the printer again from scratch.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
