HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw:
password to log in to reset to factory default so i can reconnect to internet is forgotten. the set up screen on the machine is password locked too. how can I proceed with the reset?

Try these steps:
Shut Down the Printer: Turn off your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw printer.
Enter the Restore Mode:
- While the printer is off, press and hold the right arrow key and the cancel button simultaneously.
- While holding these buttons down, turn on the printer.
Wait for the Printer to Initialize:
- Continue to hold both buttons down until the printer begins the initialization process. You may see it entering a special diagnostic mode.
Release the Buttons:
- Once the printer shows signs of entering diagnostic mode (i.e., special messages or menus appear), release the buttons.
Complete the Factory Reset:
- Follow any on-screen instructions to confirm and complete the factory reset.
This process should restore the printer to its factory settings and clear any forgotten passwords, allowing you to set it up again and reconnect to the internet as needed.
