@squire4, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP 8135e printer prints from your cp and laptops, but not from your desktop, the issue is likely localized to the desktop. Here's how to troubleshoot and fix the problem step-by-step:
Check Printer Connection on Desktop
USB: If it's USB-connected, ensure it's plugged in securely.
Wi-Fi: If the printer is on Wi-Fi, make sure your desktop is on the same Wi-Fi network.
Check Printer Status on Desktop
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners
Find HP 8135e. If not listed, add it with “Add a printer or scanner”.
If it's listed, see if it says Offline or Error.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Reinstall the Printer Driver
Uninstall the current printer from your desktop.
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click the printer > Remove device.
Go to HP’s support site and download the latest drivers for the HP 8135e.
Reinstall the printer.
Try Printing a Test Page
After reinstalling:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Right-click the HP 8135e > Printer Properties > Print Test Page
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
