Hi @simonTF24,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be an issue with the printer driver or the settings on your Mac. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check Printer Settings: Make sure that the printer settings on your Mac are configured to allow color printing. Open the Print dialog in PowerPoint or any other application, then click on the dropdown menu next to "Printer" and select your HP Envy printer. Next, click on the "Show Details" button to expand the print settings. Look for an option like "Color/Black and White" or "Color Options" and ensure that it is set to print in color.
- Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed for your HP Envy printer. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with newer operating systems. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website or through the built-in software update feature on your Mac.
- Reset Printing System: If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting the printing system on your Mac. This will remove all printers and scanners from your system and reset the printing settings to their default configurations. To do this, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the list of printers on the left side, and select "Reset printing system." After resetting, you'll need to re-add your HP Envy printer and configure the settings again.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue with printing in color from your Mac to your HP Envy printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
