HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

I have an officejet pro 8610 that I replaced. No longer under warranty and just wouldn't scan which I needed. I brought it to work to use as an extra printer but it won't print without an instant ink subscription. I can't even find how to add that but shouldn't it work without it?

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

It sounds like you're running into an issue with the Instant Ink program and the cartridges in your HP Officejet Pro 8610.

 

If the printer doesn't have an active Instant Ink subscription, the Instant Ink cartridges won't work. To get it printing again without the subscription, you'll need to purchase regular HP genuine ink cartridges instead of the Instant Ink ones.

 

Once you swap out the Instant Ink cartridges for the standard ones, it should work fine without needing to be connected to the Instant Ink service.
