@xgqmsbsn, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Pairing Code Errors!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you are encountering an "Invalid Pairing Code" or "Expired Pairing Code" error during your HP LaserJet Pro printer setup, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
Verify the Pairing Code Entry:
- Double-check that you are entering the Pairing Code correctly. Ensure there are no typographical errors.
Check for an Expired Code:
- Pairing Codes are typically valid for two hours. If more than two hours have passed since you retrieved the code, it may have expired. You will need to obtain a new code.
Retrieve a New Pairing Code:
- For Multifunction Printers (MFPs): The code will automatically refresh on the printer control panel after two hours.
- For Single-Function Printers (SFPs): Print a new code using the HP Easy Start software.
Force Generate a New Code:
- If a new code is not generated automatically, you can force the printer to generate a new one by turning the printer off and then back on.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
