printer is defaulting to portrait not option for landscape

Landscape option is gone.  it defaults to portrait but doesn't show the option of either

The printer itself is only aware of certain limited settings and defaults.

For example, Webscan and Copy Defaults (in EWS) generally provide a way to set the job parameters.

Applications and software used on the device (computer, tablet, phone) are dependent on the Operating System / version.

What the printer receives for printing is a construct, that is, a set of instructions,  created by the printer applications and software used to open, view, configure, and submit jobs to the printer.

That the "Landscape" option is "gone" hints that you have used the setting and have seen the setting in whatever app or program you are using.

Perhaps if you tell us much more about what you are using and what / where you are missing the setting you need, we can offer an idea of what to try and do.
