Office Jet 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get the "printer not activated error code 30".   I have repeatedly reinstalled the software after downloading it a couple of times from the HP site. In looking at the print options either in the Browser, or from Quicken or from any program in Office 365, it shows the Office Jet 6600 "driver not available" in the printer options.I get the error 30  at every print attempt.

Ive reset the IE browser, I've cycled the print spool stop and stop in Services.

Hi @dmp75,

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

This is a great place to get support, find answers

I understand that the printer is making a loud noise.

No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

Are you facing the issue after an update on the printer?

Is the printer connected to the network?

I suggest you do a Hard Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

If the issue persists, click here to update the firmware on the printer.

No, it's NOT making a loud noise: I'm getting a message that says "printer not activated- error code 30." when I try to print.  Is there a solution to this? I have already

1. Downloaded and Reinstalled the software and reinstalled the printer object (several times).    When I see the printer option for the Office Jet 6600, even after reinstalling the softwarer and reconnecting wirelessly, it displays "pinter driver not available".
